Sappy

If this doesn't make you cry, you are a ROCK!

You're welcome for sharing the torture.

They're home. It's been wonderful. AB has gotten so big! I missed R, too, amazingly enough. (Just kidding, dear.)

Went to the OB and I had lost 7 lbs. OMGWTF? I haven't been eating enough and have been exercising more. So now R is stuffing me with food and micromanaging my intake. It will get old fast but he's right to do it.

How was your day?

Homecoming

They're coming home today! Hooray! I have missed them both so much and can't wait to see the big smiles on their faces.

What have I done this week? Hm. Let me think.

Nothing. Not a god damn thing. It's been awesome. I did some light cleaning (R freaks if he even thinks I've gotten near any Comet or Windex), put in 10 miles this week (amazing), and overall enjoyed doing nothing.

Unless you count fucking off on the computer, which I do not. Tooling around in virtual-land, Facebooking, all that meaningless crap. I did do a lot of that with a quiet house. Got some of it out of my system.

Now I'm ready for them to hurry back. Release the HOUNDS!

Solitude

Quiet week. I miss them. They are having a wonderful time. I called AB last night and talked to her and she went on and on and on, this is a girl who hates talking on the phone. They've been to River street, an island carnival, street fountains, beach, pool, ice cream and sundae shops, the lighthouse, everywhere. AB is probably the luckiest little girl alive. I'm not even kidding you.

At the same time I am enjoying my quiet. I know it will be the last time for quite a while. Staying up late, sleeping in a little, going for long walks in the morning, basically doing whatever the fuck I want to. It has been bliss. I am the second luckiest girl alive.

When we were on the phone last night I was wrapping up the conversation and AB says, "Mommy, don't hang up yet." She was giggling, I was giggling. I miss her. I love her. R posted a pic on Facebook of her playing in a fountain downtown and she looked so big, so grown up! I sobbed for a good five minutes with happiness and sadness.

Oh, and pregnancy hormones.

Hope you have a great day. I will.

Just a Regular Day

I've been up for two hours.

R and I have done stuff, he showered (ew, was it dirty stuff?), I got dressed to go for a walk to breakfast, and now we're waiting. For kidlet to wake up. I guess we wore her out last night at some friends' house.

We left right after AB gave chocolate to a 2-year-old. Good lord. There was a lot of bitching after that. By me, of course. I blame pregnancy hormones though it wasn't that at all.

Yeah, I'm pregnant. Those rat bastards talked me into it. I was totally happy with one. Completely happy. But they wheedled and bargained and here I am, knocked up, fatter and I must say, happy about it.

Not about being fat, don't be stupid.

It's a girl. Her name is Z. R and AB both are happy as clams. She has been sweeter towards me, and more devoted to the family unit. The reactions I get when I tell people it's a girl have been very interesting. They range from the innocent-sounding "another girl?" to the ignorant "Do you think R wanted a boy?" The worst is when my in-laws bring up the fact that there won't be a boy to carry on the family name. I shut that kind of bullshit talk down pretty quickly, let me tell you. If I ever hear it around either of my daughters that's grounds for time-out or cutoff.

Today is errands, laundry, and packing for them. They're beach-bound for Spring Break. I'm excited for them. I plan to do as little as possible besides miss them terribly.

How's your day?

Predictable

At least one of those things was an April Fool's joke. To give you a hint on which, I'm attaching the following. I'm sure you can figure it out.

Happy April!

Whoa! Where have you been? I've been waiting right here, like, forever!

This will be short because I have things to see and people to do. Wait, scratch that. Reverse it.

Below is my new favorite song. Mmm.... tranny GaGa.

And oh, by the way, I'm pregnant.

Happy April!
