I Rocked That Marathon
Not really. Don't get excited. But I totally WENT to that marathon! I purchased a windbreaker that says, "ROCK 'N ROLL MARATHON!" Totally. Totally awesome.
It took about 3 hours to get there. We waited for M for about two, then it took about three hours to get back. I am sunburned, starving, and tired. But I'm blogging. Well, I'm waiting for room service b/c the restaurant isn't open for seated service. R took AB somewhere, bless him. Blessed quiet. Ahhhh.
I want to go into all kinds of detail. I do. But I'm beat. I feel like I ran 26.2 miles. Just kidding.
Quick non-Author-related Note:
M competed the marathon course in just over five hours. 5:20 or thereabouts. Kicked its ass, I would say. SHE ROCKED THAT MARATHON, and got a medal to prove it. Kick-ass. Go M. She also raised over $9,000 for Leukemia research in Mary's name. Wow. Seriously wow. I don't even know how to make that funny because it's so very not. It's just plain awesome.
OK, I'm back.
Dood, there were some huge people running marathons. Not that you have to be thin to do it, but I'd think during the course of training for a 13 or 26 mile trek you would drop a few stone. That's really petty, so let me just give a big shout out to my brothas and sistas who are huge and running a marathon. It's much harder for you, and yes, you ROCKED that marathon!
I'm tired but kinda psyched. Didja figure that out yet? I'm wondering when I'm going to run a marathon. Even with all the crowds and whatnot, the city did a good job with transporting people to and fro. The city ROCKED that marathon! Wait. The city created that marathon, are they capable of also rocking said marathon? Sure they can! If I can ROCK it by spectating, they sure as shit can ROCK it by hosting it!
I need to go now. This is getting tedious.
Man, I ROCKED this blog entry!!
