Just a Regular Day

I've been up for two hours.

R and I have done stuff, he showered (ew, was it dirty stuff?), I got dressed to go for a walk to breakfast, and now we're waiting. For kidlet to wake up. I guess we wore her out last night at some friends' house.

We left right after AB gave chocolate to a 2-year-old. Good lord. There was a lot of bitching after that. By me, of course. I blame pregnancy hormones though it wasn't that at all.

Yeah, I'm pregnant. Those rat bastards talked me into it. I was totally happy with one. Completely happy. But they wheedled and bargained and here I am, knocked up, fatter and I must say, happy about it.

Not about being fat, don't be stupid.

It's a girl. Her name is Z. R and AB both are happy as clams. She has been sweeter towards me, and more devoted to the family unit. The reactions I get when I tell people it's a girl have been very interesting. They range from the innocent-sounding "another girl?" to the ignorant "Do you think R wanted a boy?" The worst is when my in-laws bring up the fact that there won't be a boy to carry on the family name. I shut that kind of bullshit talk down pretty quickly, let me tell you. If I ever hear it around either of my daughters that's grounds for time-out or cutoff.

Today is errands, laundry, and packing for them. They're beach-bound for Spring Break. I'm excited for them. I plan to do as little as possible besides miss them terribly.

How's your day?
