Ballbuster Video

Blockbuster sucks.

Lately we've been introducing AB to movies that are age-appropriate for her. Last night we went to Blockbuster for the first time in, literally, over four years. We found a few videos that were acceptable among the Bratz and Barbie shit, and R picked out a few movies to buy. (There Will Be Blood among them.)

Our account had fallen off the back side of their records and so we went through the rigamarole to get a new one. Checked out. Went home.

And spent 1.5 hours trying to get their shit movies to play in our Sony portable DVD player. Tested with one of our disks and it played fine. So pissed.

So today I return them.

And one disk is missing. We had never even taken that one out of the bag to test it. So they had sold shit quality to us, then one disk wasn't even present.

But because of my uber-weak 'they don't play in our player!' reasoning we looked like disk-rippers or straight out thieves. Ugh!

So I agreed to pay for the shitty video that we never got in the first place just to get out of there.

Waste of $15 and several hours.

We now buy our movies digitally on iTunes and play them on the portable DVD player, which plays from an iPod. Technology rules. DVDs suck.

Today was a great day. Playdate, lunch, grocery shopping, nap, movie, goofing off (like now). Tomorrow I've no idea what we'll do and you know what? I don't mind that.
