The Need for Caffeine
It's early. AB and I are watching some Fantasia knockoff Tivo'd from HBO. My coffee hasn't kicked in. I'm waiting. Patiently.
When I ran on New Year's Day (don't get all excited, I haven't run since) I was matched perfectly from head to toe. It was a little weird. My new shoes matched my new running outfit (love that outfit) matched my Nano, matched my arm band matched my visor matched my ear cover. All unplanned, since typically I wear whatever is clean and suitable for the temperature and won't give me a giant thigh wedgie. It was odd. If I had seen me running I would have made fun of me.
You likely don't care, but I'm starting Robert Ullrey's Podcasts for Runners over again, this time focusing on speed. I'm running during the running periods, and not just kinda jogging. So I'm all kinds of excited about that and want to get going but...
Have you seen how freaking cold it is out there? Seriously. It's cold. Freeze your face off cold. Whine. I guess it's time for more layers. Dammit. Dammit!

I'm going to start running this year. Not just to the couch either. Real life go outside and run. Well, maybe when it's warmer.
My goal is the same every year: don't die. So far, so good.
I'm a regular runner and was quite amused by all the folks running on Jan. 1!
