Climbing the Walls

Amazing day. I love weekends.

The playdate this morning was with some really close friends we don't see often enough. They have two fun boys and we always have an amazing time together. While at Jumping Jacks some other friends came in that we haven't seen in months. They moved to Florida and moved back. It was so great to see them all. Happy, sappy crap.

Oh yeah, the four miles were great. I may or may not go tomorrow, for a reason you're about to learn.

AB had a lot of fun this morning. She had some trouble at lunch, because she was tired. We all were. Then I got called for work and had to go home to troubleshoot an issue.

Something came over me at Jumping Jacks. I decided I needed to scale the climbing wall. It was an urge. I was not tired from the run, at least not very. I had enough energy to climb my first wall. It was awesome. My hands and feet are still sore. I'm not sure I'll go tomorrow for that reason. Pretty dumb to do it barefooted. Pretty dumb to do it at all. Can't wait to see how badly my forearms hurt tomorrow.

AB didn't know what to think of her Mommy climbing up a wall. R was snapping photos (no, I won't) and offering advice. The hardest part was letting go at the top with one hand to push the buzzer. Then letting go for the auto-belayer. I was terrified. It was awesome. My feet still hurt.

Hasta, gotta run.

Amber,

I have a play date, too--with a 22 year-old! :)
