Starbucks Sucks

Could they not find a less accessible place to locate their irresistible beverage and sandwich products? Could they maybe have found a strip mall corner with no parking, nutbird drivers whipping in and out of spots, trophies chatting with their dahlinks on their new cell phones in their Mercedeses (sp?) and not paying attention to another soul on the planet? Oh wait, they did.

Could they have made it more difficult to get a morning coffee and bagels for the office at the bagel place next door? NO, they could not have. So to you Starbucks on the corner of busy street and close to my house road, I give you the double-barrelled salute of a pissed off customer. It entails two fingers and neither of them could be mistaken for a "thumbs up."

I feel better now. Gah, is it Friday already?

It's "Mother's Day" weekend. I don't buy into the Hallmark holiday crap (or at least I try to, Lee's pic got me a little), so there won't be any sappy crap about mothers here, today, for that reason. We'll be cooking and driving and pampering and adoring and all that crap just like everyone else lucky enough to still have their mothers with them.

Last night AB was talking to R and she said, "You are old." Later she said "I am new." I laughed. Later she said, "but you are still old." He laughed and agreed with her, which is completely untrue, since he is younger than I, and I most certainly am NOT old. Ahem.

Oh my, how do you really feel about Starbucks? Don't repress. C'mon. Let it all out.

If the choices are "old" and "new", I think I might be "gently used." Too cute.

As for your dad, sorry about that. Mine was cold and aloof, but I know he loves me. Hope you have a wonderful Mom's day, as if they aren't all Mom's day.

I with Lee it's not healthy to repress.

P.S. I have a Dad just like your Daughter.

I wouldn't trade him for anything.
