"Math is Hard!"

You'd think someone with two degrees, such as myself (note pompous tone), would have some idea how to do general math. Apparently I do not.

So I started week 7 on my trusty podcasts for running. I'm expecting a 5-15-5 or some such crap when I hear... "Today is 25 minutes of running, or about 2.5 miles." Screeeech! Again? Oh hell, I'll try it. Nothing I can't do, pep talk, bullshit, etc.

That was NOT 25 minutes. My heart rate monitor (shut up) told me I was in target zone for 31 minutes. 31 minus 25 is NOT zero. No way was it 25 minutes. I think Robert's doing some kind of math mind game where we're slowly running longer than we think... that's ascribing a lot of malice to the poor guy, so I probably shouldn't continue in that vein. That would be pretty damn mean of him.

Regardless, it was the longest 25-or-31 minutes of my life. I walked twice. Suffering from the teenage temperature and caloric limitation. It was hard, cold, and miserable. I hope it did some good. If not I will be SO pissed. So pissed.

Shut up, Author, it's Friday! Woo hoo! I'm such a cliche. At least I know it.

So go read some news.
