Yet Again You Waited

Ah, hello again? You see, I've been terribly busy of late and um, well, I haven't made this blog a priority? Terribly sorry. Please forgive me.

OK, that's done. Here I am, debating about having another child because of the work involved and discomfort and whine whine when I meet up with an old friend. Here's a synopsized version of our conversation:

"Tally ho, hope all is well." (Neither of us is British, I just have a British accent stuck in my head and thought I'd make it do some work for once.)
"Oh, jolly 'ol chap nice to hear from ya. How are you getting on?"
"Doing well, got about seven kids now."
"Sorry, I don't think I heard you right. Seven, you say?"
"Yep. Some are mine some are adopted. I'm working out of my home, wife and I are raising seven kids, live on a plot the size of Texas, got native forest in the backyard behind the pool we're having installed, and are waging a war against Leukemia with our youngest. My son and I just shaved our heads in support of her current chemo battle."
"Um... sorry, I don't know what to say?"
"Oh, that's all right. I'm quite used to that. Nice to hear from you."
"OK, let's keep in touch?"

So I'm wallowing about in self-centered head cold pity while people around me are thriving in real lives with real battles. Slap!

I can't think of anything else to say. I'll blame my head cold and not my lack of creativity. Have you ever noticed how some people can have so many interests you don't know how they maintain all of them at one time? Where do they get the energy or the time? These are the kinds of people I want in my life. I wonder how one goes about becoming one of those people?

So go do something interesting and meaningful.
